Greetings from Mbarara.  Yesterday was a very long day traveling from the absolutely breath taking Ambosieli National Park in Kenya to Kampala in Uganda.  After we arrived we were so tired that trying to send communications was nearly impossible.  We have limited internet access here in Mbarara so I will not be able to load any photos until we return to Nairobi. Hi all,

I have finally checked into the hotel in Kampala after a very long day of travel.  Internet is slow and I am beat.  Tomorrow I will share what I learned from IOM on Friday and my tails of adventure from this weekend.

Notes From Nairobi-Day 4

Today was a national holiday here in Kenya celebrating their independence.  All offices and businesses were closed in observance so we took off for a day of exploring.  Our first stop was to a Giraffe Sanctuary outside the city that works specially with Rothschild giraffes, an endangered animal.  I was surprised to find Lucy, a 20 year old Giraffe, to be such a good kisser.  She gave me a nice smacker on the lips.  Fun… Read More
