Buffalo Through Their Eyes Photo Show
Posted on 09/25/12
Journey’s End is hosting Buffalo Through Their Eyes, on Thursday, October 4 at CEPA Gallery (617 Main Street, Buffalo, NY). The show will feature the photographs of up to 10 refugee artists documenting their lives including their families, schools, workplaces, and community. It’s an opportunity for our clients to express themselves through art and showcase our important work of welcoming refugees to the community.
The project includes training from CEPA in framing and shooting photographs, with bi-weekly discussion and critique of the artists’ work in the months leading up to the show.
Previous shows have been rehung at the Bufalo Historical Society, Medaille College, and Buffalo State College. The photographs are often reminiscent of many of our own families’ photos shortly after arriving in the United States, while at the same time giving a fresh and hopeful perspective on the future of Buffalo.
The event will be held from 6-9 PM and tickets are $30/individual, $50/couple, $90/family (up to 5). Tickets can be purchased online
Hope to see you there!
