The first step towards a career in manufacturing and production.

In partnership with Diversified Labor Solutions, the Journey’s End Gainful Employment Training program (GET) seeks to eliminate barriers to skilled employment by providing on the job manufacturing training and classes to refugees and immigrants in Buffalo, New York. Through GET, participants gain technical manufacturing skills and knowledge as well as exposure to cross-cultural competency training. After completing the program, participants are equipped to enter the manufacturing workforce in junior and senior level positions. GET is an exciting program that seeks to restore dignity and economically empower our vibrant refugee and immigrant community.

Who: Unemployed and underemployed refugees and immigrants are invited to participate.

Where: Classes take place at Journey’s End Refugee Services, while fully paid part-time employment and hands-on training take place at Diversified Labor Solutions, both locations are in the Tri-Main Building.

When: The program is offered as either a six-month or ten-week course, applications are currently being accepted for the next round which will begin in October. The ten-week courses will be ongoing.
