VOLUNTEER APPLICATION PROCESS
STEP 1: SIGN UP FOR A VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION & SUBMIT A VOLUNTEER APPLICATION
Click here to find upcoming volunteer orientation dates.
Select a date to attend orientation, then click ‘Apply’ on the right-hand side of your screen.
You will be prompted to create an account with POINT, which is the software we use to onboard and share opportunities with our volunteers.
After creating an account, you will then be prompted to fill out our General Volunteer Application.
After completing the Volunteer Application, you will be able to finalize your sign up for orientation.
Paper applications available upon request.
STEP 2: ATTEND ORIENTATION
All prospective volunteers must attend a regularly scheduled volunteer orientation.
After signing up for an orientation via POINT, you will receive an email confirming your sign up and a reminder to attend orientation the day before the event.
After orientation, we will share final paperwork with you. This includes running security background checks on all volunteers, and having all volunteers complete a one hour, online, sexual harassment prevention training course.
Orientation Dates are listed within the registration form above, but are generally held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 9AM.
STEP 3: Volunteer!
Once the orientation and background check procedures are complete, each volunteer will then have the opportunity to select opportunities from our list of various volunteer opportunities.
Once you begin volunteering you become a part of our large Journey's End family, which means you will be an integral part of helping our newest neighbors to succeed in their new life in Buffalo.
Volunteers provide quality services for our clients and agency, and Journey’s End provides quality support for volunteers because of the many important tasks they perform. Thank you in advance for considering volunteering your time and talent at Journey’s End.
