ENROLLMENT FOR ALL PROGRAMS:

WHEN: Last two Fridays of each month, 9:30AM-11:30AM. Walk-ins only; first come, first served.

WHERE: Journey's End Main Office - 2495 Main St, Suite 530 Buffalo NY 14214

WHO: All English language learners (ages 18+) interested in enrolling in any Journey's End classes (no citizenship or immigration status required)

DETAILS: If you have the following ID, please bring them with you: I-94, USCIS Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) or Passport, Social Security Number.

SCHOOL CLOSINGS

Journey’s End’s education programs follow the Buffalo Public School district calendar for holidays and school closings (not including summer holidays).

ADULT ESOL PROGRAM - BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED
Offered in partnership with SUNY Erie Pathways to Success, the NYS Office for New Americans, the NYS Department of Education and Literacy NY.

The beginner and intermediate classes focus primarily on conversational English and basic literacy. The goal is to improve speaking skills and help students engage with the surrounding community. The advanced class focuses on improving reading, writing, and speaking skills to prepare students to enter the workforce or transition into the GED/HSE class in preparation for post-secondary education. We offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced level English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes. Students who successfully complete these classes may transition into our GED/HSE Preparation class if they are interested in attending higher education. They may also be referred to our Employment Department to assist in securing employment.

GED PREPARATION PROGRAM - High School Equivalency Classes
Offered in partnership with SUNY Erie Pathways to Success

The GED Preparation Program is a high school equivalency program with the end goal of preparing students to pass the General Educational Development (GED) exam in order to receive a High School Equivalency Diploma to prepare students for the workplace and to assist with the transition to higher education.

Our partnership with SUNY Erie Pathways to Success provides students with the opportunity to transition smoothly into SUNY Erie.

WHEN: Various daytime classes available - Morning and Afternoon.

WHO: English Language Learners 18+ (Please note: Students must meet minimum English language requirements before enrollment.)

CITIZENSHIP & NATURALIZATION PREPARATION CLASSES 

Citizenship & Naturalization Preparation Classes Classes focus on preparing students for the citizenship test and naturalization interview. Curriculum covers topics of the 100 civics questions, which include US history, government, geography, and more. Students will also work towards developing their English reading, writing, and speaking skills necessary for successful completion of the test and interview. Naturalization interview skills and practice are also provided.

WHEN: 
Mondays and Wednesdays 1:30PM-3:30PM
- OR -
Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00PM-7:00PM

WHO:  Immigrants preparing for the citizenship test and naturalization interview. (Please note: students must meet minimum language requirements before enrollment.)

WHERE: Remote on Zoom. Zoom link provided after registration.
