STEP 1: SUBMIT a volunteer application

You may submit an online application or download the application here. Online applications are preferred.

If downloading the application, please email it or print and mail it back to our office.

You can also bring it with you to your orientation session.

STEP 2: ATTEND ORIENTATION

All prospective volunteers must attend a regularly scheduled volunteer orientation.

Outside COVID-era restrictions, orientations take place twice a month at Journey's End in the Tri-Main Center at 2495 Main Street, Suite 530. Currently, our orientations are offered online via Zoom and in person.

Please plan for orientation to take approximately 1.5 hours.

After orientation, we run security background checks on all volunteers. Additionally, Journey’s End staff and volunteers are asked to complete a one hour, online, sexual harassment prevention training course, which can be completed on your own time and at your own pace. The link will be provided to you after orientation.

Orientation Dates are listed within the registration form below, but are generally held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, at either 9am or 6pm.

To register for an orientation, please click here to complete the online registration form.

STEP 3: Volunteer!

Once the orientation and background check procedures are complete, each volunteer will then have the opportunity to select opportunities from our list of various volunteer opportunities.

Once you begin volunteering you become a part of our large Journey's End family, which means you will be an integral part of helping our newest neighbors to succeed in their new life in Buffalo.

Volunteers provide quality services for our clients and agency, and Journey’s End provides quality support for volunteers because of the many important tasks they perform. Thank you in advance for considering volunteering your time and talent at Journey’s End.

We couldn't do the work we do without volunteers!
